Free quotes
Whilst we offer free quotes, due to the amount of times we have turned up for people to be out, we reserve the right in these instances to charge a fee for wasting time if we turn up at the agreed time and no one is there to discuss the works to be quoted. This fee starts at £80.
Quotes
Quotes have the below terms and conditions included which should be read carefully before accepting, the subjects covered include health and safety, deposits, staged payment and payment terms.

Standard Terms
Upon accepting the quote, you will be entering into contract with Carter Brickwork Ltd and agreeing to all terms stated within.
Definitions
“Contractor” means undefined (trading as "Carter's Brickwork") and any of their employees and/or agents.
c. “Customer” means the recipient of this quote listed above.
e. “Site” means the location where the Works will be undertaken.
f. “Working period” means the date/s that the Contractor and the Consumer agree for the works to be completed.
g. “Works” means the scope of work agreed, within the attached quote, to be completed by the Contractor for the benefit of the Customer
Works
All of our quotes include a description of works to be undertaken to a professional standard. If a portion of works is not included within this, please query with us before accepting the quote to avoid any additional costs.
Any further works or payments that differs from this Agreement must be subject to a further quote and agreement.
In the event that any materials are substituted for a product of differing quality or value, this must be subject to a further agreement between the parties in writing. If more monies are owed to the Contractor as a result of the material substitution, this difference becomes due and payable by the customer upon receipt of an invoice from the Contractor.
Contractor Responsibilities
The Contractor agrees to:
i. Complete the Works carefully and competently;
ii. Use materials which are of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. The materials will be new unless agreed between the parties in writing;
iii. Take all reasonable steps to minimise health and safety risks to themselves, agents, the Customer and others;
iv. Take all reasonable steps to minimise environmental damage;
v. Ensure that any temporary protection for the Works is safe and weatherproof;
vi. Store away any tools or equipment used at the end of each working day; and
vii. Leave the site in a clean and tidy condition after completing the works.
Customers Responsibilities
a. The Customer agrees to:
i. Take notice of all safety warnings given by the Contractor;
ii. Follow any reasonable instructions given by the Contractor in respect of the Works being carried out;
iii. Not allow any unauthorised persons (including children) to access the site during work times;
iv. Give the Contractor access to the Site during the agreed working hours throughout the working period; and
v. Keep the Site clear of obstructions to allow the Contractor to carry out the Works.
Deposits
Deposits stated within the quote will be due upon booking a job in, failure to pay the deposit may result in the dates being given to another customer and cancellation of your job. No materials will be ordered or dates held until deposit is paid.
Deposits amounts are non-refundable as these are used to not only secure the dates booked, but to cover any costs incurred by ourselves in the event of cancellation.
Rearranging dates will be at our discretion within reason.
If Carter Brickwork Ltd cancels the job for any reason without rearranging before the start date, a full refund of the deposit will be due to the customer within 7 working days.
Timescales
Timescales given are only a guide, whilst every effort will be made to hit given Timescales.
We cannot be held responsible for any holdups outside of our control, including but not limited to weather, supply chain issues and material shortages.
Warranty
All of our work comes with a 1 year warranty that cover any defects as a result of contractor workmanship or Contractor supplied material defects.
Materials will not be covered if the contract is labour only and will be void if a defect is a result of a material defect.
Failure of existing structures causing damage to works will also void any warranty (for example existing foundations used or movement of abutting structures)
